ERICH suspension magnets are widely used to removal of tramp iron from raw or finished products conveyed on belt conveyors.
The magnet body is fabricated from stainless steel. The bottom surface of the magnet is made of non-magnetic stainless steel to withstand wear and tear during operation. Four Eye bolts or lifting lugs are provided to enable installation of the magnet.
Construction:
The Permanent Magnet is built up of anisotropic strontium ferrite magnets suitably oriented and assembled. The magnet assembly is canister in a stainless steel shell to prevent it from damage or breakage. The magnet is of bi-polar nature with field intensity uniformly distributed across the magnet surface. A permanent magnet requires no rectifier or wiring to be done, its installation cost is minimum while operating cost is nil and lastly it functions regardless of power failure.
A wide range of Erich Electro Suspension Magnets and Overband Magnets is also available.
Installation:
The ideal position for the installation of a suspension magnet is over the free trajectory of the material discharged from the head pulley of a belt conveyor. This is the best way to realize the full potential since separation is achieved while the burden is opened up in flight. Furthermore, separation of any tramp iron included in the material is assisted by it's momentum as it is moving directly towards the magnet face attracting it.
It is also possible to mount the separator over the moving bed of the material but this normally requires a stronger magnet. This position may be used only where it is not possible to mount the magnet over the material discharge point due to space constraints and must bot be used where belt speed is excessive.
Selection:
Erich Manufactures Permanent Suspension magnets suitable for standard belt conveyor widths of 400mm, 500mm, 650mm, 800mm, 900mm, 1000mm upto 1800mm. Operating height from 100mm (4") to 450mm (18"). However, for operating height above 450mm only electro magnets are recommended.
For selection of the right magnet, following information is required:
a. Material description, size, bulk density and burden depth.
b. Belt conveyor width, capacity and speed.
c. Tramp iron size, shape, weight and percentage.
d. Type of separation: whether equipment protection, purification, reclamation or salvage.
e. Type of magnet: whether permanent of Electro.Mobile: +(91)-9810509691
